I have discovered and learned so much thanks to you all. I have emailed Pretoria and hopefully will get some more military details soon. I have also managed to gather some info on the father and grandfather of William so my family tree is growing.
I am amazed to think a grandfather I never met could have been marching pretty close to my own back yard here in the Free State and today as Armistice Day is also quite emotional.
