Brett - Given that 2308 was on the enlistment papers would you say that the latter no was mis-recorded?

William Parr was my grandfather's eldest brother. William lied about his age in order to serve his country.

Interestingly, the last time the grave was opened (internment of Florence Gracey), there was an additional body in the plot!

But William Parr is buried in South Africa - the family paid for a large headstone (I saw a photograph of it many years ago and it struck me that it was incredibly large in comparison to neighbouring headstones)
