Hi Dave, thanks for the reply. That was a lot of info you found. Thanks again. I'm not sure who the officer would be, as my mom had told me this, and her grandmother never spoke about her father that often as they left her here after the war when they returned home. She fell for a local, and her father didn't approve, sorry goes they never spoke again. My moms passed away since my last post so I won't be able to ask her. My aunt is the last one still alive that might remember, I will pop in there and ask her if she remembers anything.
