Hallo - two years later and I have confirmed Albert Grace, service number 6362, was my great grandfather and he was injured at Hout Kop, Vereeninging on 14th June 1901. (Thank you very much to davidh for telling me about the PIN 71!) Albert was shot through the thigh twice, and was discharged as medically unfit due to his injuries. He went on to serve in WW1, and very recently I have seen a WW1 Roll of Honour portrait photograph of him. Behind it, there was a second portrait which appears to be from the Boer War era. We don't know if it's Albert - the likeness isn't obvious - but would be interested if anyone recognises which regiment the uniform might be from. I've attached it below, and look forward to any thoughts : )
