I have him listed in the 1891 census as Militia Artillery Gunner The Barracks Broad Lane Lake Sandown Isle of Wight. I believe the Barracks were located off Lake Hill Would he have been attached to the Hampshire Rgt ? as a Gunnner presumably using a 12ib Gun ?
