Hi, COULD ANYONE HELP WITH ANY FURTHER INFORMATION ON WHERE I COULD GET ANY MORE SERVICE DETAILS ON MY LONG LOST RELATIVE. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO LOCATE WHERE HE COULD POSSIBLY BE BURIED WITHOUT ANY SUCCESS. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Dacfire,

Unfortunately, if he died in South Africa, his service papers will not be available. Without these, I am not sure what other information will be available on him.

As Justin says, he was buried in Mafikeng.

Kind regards

Dacfire,

This was a journal maintained by the ASC which may contain mention of him. The Regimental Museum will have a copy. It might be a longshot though.

Thanks David for your help and replies. I cant seem to find the journal you have sent me. If you could send it to me I would appreciate it.
I am grateful for the help and information I have received considering a few weeks ago I didn't know anything about him. I find it very sad that over 20,000 personnel died from disease there.

Kind Regards
Dave (DACFIRE)
