Hello everyone,

I'm trying to pinpoint where each company of the 3rd Grenadiers was (and what they did) during the last phase of the Boer War, when they were transferred to Cape Colony. I know the information can be found in Lloyd's "First or Grenadier Guards in South Africa", but unfortunately I don't own the book. Would anyone be kind enough to enlighten me?
Thanks.

Morning PoorYorick (great username)

And welcome to the forum.
There is some information about the 3rd in this link, which is from the Unit information on this site.

Thanks for the reply and the warm welcome.

I did read that link, but I'm looking for detailed information. I know that the 3rd was with Crabbe's column, but the column broke up and the companies went their separate ways. That's what I really want to know about.

By the way, would you know whether the Boer commandos still had some 75 mm Creusot and/or Krupp guns during the guerrilla phase?
