Sadly, the way of the world in that country now, they was a particular gentleman who actually "acquired" a number of unnamed exampels of the 1896 medals and had them "named" he was on the wanted list of the Rhodesian Special Branch, but, he was never caught, he is no longer with us today though!

There is a member of CMHS here in Calgary that was a member of BSAP before he got run out of the country and he said there used to be a large collection of medals including some Jameson's Raiders in his Officers Mess but just before they left they all disappeared.....

Yes Frank, my friend has mentioned him many times and has a couple of medals from the ones that were acquired in his collection..... He collects BSAC medals and medals to BSAP and is thinking of writing a book on the subject.....

Those particular medals are very easy to spot and will not deceive anyone other than a complete idiot, so it really does not matter, but, it is still annoying, there are just so many pitfalls in this pastime!

It would be nice to confirm these are one and the same man.

Ryan's suggestion of contacting Cam Simpson is a very good one. I can send him an email on your behalf if that would help?

Best wishes
David

It could be him.
I'll have to spend more time looking into these Archives.
I'm not familiar with the layout of the site yet.

Cheers John.
