Do you have access to any post-war full length photos of Cdt Breytenbach that could indicate the state of his arm?? Was part of it physically shot away at Bakenlaagte or was it in fact broken/severely fractured?
In his ABO application he mentioned "Bakenlaagte (gewond en arm af)" and in Onze Krijgsofficieren it is stated werd zijn arm afgeschoten
Do you have an obituary for him?
