It would appear that Pioneer Arthur Turner Gordon was awarded slightly less rare clasps, ie CC OFS Tr & SA02 (WO100/271p13)

Certainly not my favourite auction site!

275 PNR A.T.GORDON. S.A.C.( ONLY 14 ISSUED TO THIS UNIT).

The SAC was formed AFTER the Siege and No Mafeking Medals were issued to the SAC, true the person may have had further service but I have yet to find one......

THIS IS A GENUINE MEDAL AND CLASP.

The Medal may be genuine and the same with the bar but they do not belong together.....

There have been 5 bids and is up to L 250...... Must be bidding for the bar to use else ware.....

Sellers should do a little bit of research......

Doing a bit of digging. There is an A Gordon , Mafeking Town Guard, who is entitled to the clasp WO100/283. Presumably if it were the same man the clasp could be worn legitimately on a QSA awarded to 275 Gordon. SAC, but not with a CC clasp, and where are the others he was apparently entitled to anyway? Have I got that right?


Just out of interest I've also sent a question to the seller asking if he has any confirmation of the entitlement. I'll let you know what I hear.
