Update on 4560 Pte Boston.

1901 Census Canterbury Barracks. 19th Hussars Charles Boston aged 23 Born in Hoxton Middlesex. Circa 1878. Ancestry recorded Charles Beston.



The only other detail I could find is a pension card.


I think his attestation papers are unlikely, no luck so far. I am wondering if Ian's Charles Henry Boston maybe my man? Shoreditch is feasible, and only a couple of year's out on DoB.
Also 1896 reference attestation as per Smethwick would equate to joining up at 18 years old.

Dave - Lovely medal. I can advise that Boston doesn't have a file in the PIN 71 series at the NA which means that either his wound didn't result in him being invalided to pension or that he died before the PIN 71 series was established in 1918.
