Hello Frank,

I have been transferred to Cape Town and I have bought a property in Simon's Town. The new avatar is the view from my veranda of the Simon's Town Naval Base.
I currently run the entire coastal area of SA which is madness and it just makes more sense to be based in the Cape.

Now I can spend more time in the Cape Archives, and start enjoying the medal meetings in the Castle again. All good fun.

Yes, I have been acquiring medals just not QSA's, been concentrating on medals of later decades. However I like battles where the artillery had a hand in turning the battle and Modder River was one of those. Been after a 62nd for awhile, missed a few as I do not purchase from overseas only locally. Could not resist this one when it came up near where I live. I have a Colenso QSA entitled to the same medal combo BUT sadly I only have the QSA.

If all goes well I too will also be relocating to the fair Cape within a few years. Adrian and I will be virtually neighbours living only a few km's apart.
