From the next Morton and Eden auction:

QSA (1) SA02 (2637 Sowar Hazara Singh, 5th Punjab Cvlry:), clasp loose upon ribbon, minor edge bump, very fine £60-80

Previous research suggests that Sowar Hazara Singh received a silver, no clasp medal on 29 December 1902, later receiving an additional ‘South Africa 1902’clasp on 11 February 1903

QSA (1) South Africa 1902 (16509 Pte. W. Earnshaw. R.A.M.C.), official correction to surname;
St. John Service Medal, silver, with Second Award Bar (6549. D/Supt W. Earnshaw. Brierfield Div. No. 4 Dis. S.J.A.B. 1926).

William Earnshaw was born in November 1881 at Colne, Lancashire and was a weaver upon his enlistment at Burnley on 18 November 1901 for just one years' service. He served in South Africa during the Boer War from 14 December 1901-10 September 1902, being discharged on 12 September 1902 (Queen's Medal & single clasp confirmed).

He does not appear to have been made a Serving Brother in the Order of St John.

Ernest Gardner was born in the Parish of Romsey, Hampshire, and attested at Gosport for the Royal Artillery on 14 July 1887. He was discharged at Cardiff on 13 July 1908, having completed his second period of engagement.
