This medal and LVW resides in my collection. I have started the research but am far from done. I attach the various Vorms in his regard - you will note that his application for a DTD was turned down making this a complete group to an Officer in the Artillery.

I did look at his second forename. There were two examples of a single 'a' and one double. Is it definitely a double 'a'?

Yes David - all his papers indicate thus. the name "Christian" was almost never used by the Dutch.
