I have watched this medal offered on eBay and wondered how I could discover to which Commando Burger PB Uys was riding with?
Do you have access to Vorm B info?
I have been a member of this forum for awhile now and am quite astounded that there is so much information available,
I have been shy to commit my questions to the Forum members lest I be told off or scoffed at.?

Hi Evyn.......

I am going to answer part of your question above with his permission.......

There is no such thing as a silly question, I have learned many many things here and if we don't answer questions how can we start a discussion going on a subject and learn.......

There used to be a radio show here and you could invite any three people in the world in history or present time to dinner and talk about anything......

The three people from here that I would love to ask Frank, David and Rory, of course I would bring in an extra case of Irish Whiskey....... I would ask a lot of questions and I am sure they would think that a number would cause the thought, "What the hell is he talking about" but I would enjoy the answers......

Tkx for your reply to me and I'm hoping you read my mail about the ABW Ceylon MI pair.
I had an interesting buy recently during a trip to Perth West Aust.

I purchased a QSA medal with Cape Colony & OFS bars to 2nd Class Trooper Herman F. Clement who it seems was enlisted in the SAC into 'H' sqn from Toronto Canada.
If he was stationed at Heidelburg he should also be entitled to a Transvaal bar ? not so?
The list of names I have indicates that he was stationed at Station 'K' which seems to be at Heidelburg, Transvaal ?? Can someone on the Forum confirm this please?
Furthermore included in the paperwork accompanying the QSA medal is an Application for Volunteer Bounty dd 1908 .
Herman Clement is applying for a land grant by virtue of his service in the SAC during the Boer war from his domicile in Westfield, Massachusetts in the USA.
Was the grant of land in Canada or South Africa??? Were all surviving SAC Canadian recruits entitled to land per the 1908 Volunteer Bounty Act ?
An interesting discovery don't you think?
Can any Forum members cast more light on this information?
