MackenzieIan RussellCaptainMACKENZIE, IAN RUSSELL, Captain, served in the South African War, 1901-2. He was severely wounded; was mentioned in Despatches; received the King's Medal with two clasps, and was created a Companion of the Distinguished Service Order [London Gazette, 26 June 1902]: "Ian Russell Mackenzie, Captain, Scottish Horse. In recognition of services during the operations in South Africa". He was invested by the King 18 December 1902. He also served in Northern Nigeria in 1906.
