Butler | Henry | | | BSACM Mashonaland 1890 Rhodesia 1896 (1) Mashonaland 1897. 1896: Tpr. Salisbury FF: 1897: Tpr. BSAP. A Cape Town man who attested on 4 January 1890 and served in E Troop. A group photograph taken at Macloutsie Camp in 1890 shows him standing outside the corporal's mess between two burly companions; a slight figure with a light moustache, he is wearing a smasher hat and greyback shirt. He was in charge of one of the helio stations near Semalale, and was promoted Sergeant in E: Troop on 1 June 1891 and employed as a signalling sergeant. BSACM undated (3) Mashonaland 1890, Rhodesia 1896, Mashonaland 1897 (Sgt: Butler, H. - B. S. A. C. P.). Not entitled to the last two clasps. DNW May 2016 £3,000.
