Farmer | J C | | 2nd Lieutenant | Died of wounds received in action at Buffelshoek October 22nd, 1900. 2nd Lieutenant Farmer who had been nominated for a commission by the authorities of universities and colleges, was gazetted to a 2nd lieutenantcy October 26th, four days after his death. He had however been granted seniority in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers from May 23rd, 1900, as he had been serving in South Africa in the Imperial Yeomanry.
