Lynch | Marcus | | Captain | He died of enteric at Mooi River November 13th, 1900. He was born April 1868, and entered his regiment September 1887, being promoted Lieutenant April 1889, and Captain August 1894. From May 1892, to December 1893, he was employed with the Gold Coast Constabulary, and with the West African Frontier Police Force from March 1898, to November 1899, when he proceeded to South Africa. He then served with the 1st battalion of his regiment and took part in the fighting on the Tugela and the relief of Ladysmith.
