Norwood | William Blakeney | | Captain | He died in London, August 28th, 1900, from the effects of a sun stroke contracted in South Africa. He was born in July 1865, educated at Cheltenham College, and entered the Royal Artillery, April 1885, being promoted Captain in May 1895. He embarked for South Africa as adjutant Royal Horse Artillery, Brigade Division, December 1899, and served there till March 1900, when he was invalided home. His name was inscribed on the Eleanor Cross Memorial at Cheltenham College.
