Ricketts | Arthur | | | Born at Haywards Heath, Sussex, Aug 7, 1874. He is son of Wm. Tyler Ricketts, Solicitor, of Chailey, near Lewes, and was educated at Dulwich College He was House Physician at University College Hosp., and served as Civil Surgeon in the SA Field Force, 1899 1901, being mentioned in Lord Roberts's despatches, and receiving the CMG, medal and clasps for Paardeberg, Driefontein, Relief of Kimberley, Wittebergen, and Transvaal. He returned to SA as Surgeon Captain in the Irish Horse, 1902, relinquishing his command in Feb, 1903, with the hon. rank of Captain in the Army.
