Presentation.
A tea and social evening was held under the auspices of the Independent Order of Rechabites, at the Mission Hall, on Saturday, when Sergeant K. BURRIS, who recently returned home from South Africa, was the recipient of a gold pendant, for remaining true to the principles of the order. The tea tables were presided over by Mrs C. Jones, Mrs G. Burris, Mrs E. Booth, Mrs A. Knight, and Mrs A. Waite. The social was presided over by Bro. Jones (Chief Ruller), who gave an appropriate address. Speeches were also delivered by Bros. George Loughman, E. Davies, A. Morgan, and E. Booth, who made the presentation.
