Presentation made at Messrs Baynes Bros., fellmongery, Belmont.
On Tuesday evening last the employees at Messrs Baynes Bros’ fellmongery, Belmont, took the opportunity of making a presentation to one of their number, Mr E. HUNT, who is going to the Transvaal with the Fifth Contingent. Several of those present referred in feeling terms to the loss of one who has always been a favourite with his comrades, and, as an expression of the high esteem in which he was held, he was presented with a gold albert and pendant, suitably inscribed. After thanking them for their thoughtfulness, he said he hoped in time to return again, after having done his duty to his King and country.
