FAREWELLING TROOPERS.
On Wednesday evening Trooper M. BRENNAN was tendered a farewell social at the Federal Gymnasium, Devonport, when there was a fairly large attendance of friends and well-wishers of the departing soldier, who has joined the federal contingent for service in South Africa. Trooper BRENNAN was also the recipient of a presentation, in the form of a gold medal, with suitable inscription, from the employees of the "North-West Post", he having been employed In the mechanical staff of that paper prior to his enlistment.
