VIOLET TOWN.
The residents of Caniambo and surrounding district have welcomed Sergeant WALL and Private TURNLEY, who recently returned from South Africa. Mr Thorn, J.P., who occupied the chair, presented each of the returned soldiers with a gold albert and inscribed medal.

A welcome home was given to Sergeant WALL and Private TURNLEY, in the Caniambo Hall, when each were presented with a gold medal and watchchain.
