ANOTHER FLINTONIAN FOR THE FRONT.

Sergt. CARR, of the Flint Company of the 1st V.B.R.W. Fusiliers, sails today (Friday) for South Africa with a draft of 20 men selected from the waiting company for service with the Volunteers. His comrades in the Flint Company subscribed a purse of money, and purchased a silver albert and pendant as a ‘Keepsake’, on his departure for the seat of war; and Mr J.J. Clarke, tobacconist and newsagent, Town Hall, and others, gave presents of cigarettes and tobacco. Mr CARR was expected in Flint on Thursday night from Warrington, where the draft has been quartered for some days, to receive the gifts, and the hearty send off of his friends and well-wishers.
