PRESENTATION TO VOLUNTEERS. – On Saturday evening the members of the League of the Cross Society in connection with St Mary’s R.C. Church, met in Irvine Coffee House and entertained Piper J. McCAIRNS, of B Coy., 1st V.B.R.S.F. Rev. F. Letters presided, and in the course of the evening the guest was presented with a gold appendage as a token of regard from the members of the League of the Cross. A pleasant evening was passed. On the same evening Piper McCAIRNS was the recipient of a gold albert and a clock from friends in Irvine, on the occasion of his going to the front.
