LAW.

VOLUNTEER’S RETURN. – A public meeting was held on the Law Moor, near Carluke, on Friday night, when a presentation was made to Private James DUDGEON, of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, on his return from the South African War. Dr Robert Paterson, in name of the inhabitants, presented Private DUDGEON with a handsome gold medal, suitably inscribed, and a purse of sovereigns.
