Longridge sent another contingent of volunteers to South Africa on 15/03/1902. However, as of Feb 2023, I have been unable to find a report of a presentation of medals to these men.

The Longridge contingent of the Active Service Company of the 1st Vol. Batt. Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, which returned on Monday, consisted of Sergeant MOULDING and Privates J. WHITTLE, J. RYDER, W. WILLAN, W. WHITTLE, J. SEED, G. BAMBER, and J.E. SUMNER. Unfortunately, three who went out with the company have been left behind in South Africa on account of sickness, viz., Corporal J. PINDER, Corporal J. HESMONDHALGH, and Lance-Corporal BOLTON. PINDER was left at Deelfontein, HESMONDHALGH at Magersfontein, and BOLTON at De Aar.

PRESENTATION OF MEDALS AT LONGRIDGE.
The returned members of the South African contingent of the E Company Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, along with Captain Dryden and Sergeant-Instructor Reeves, were entertained last night by Mr F. Smith, cotton manufacturer, at his residence, Woodville, near Longridge. After dinner, Mr Smith addressed a few remarks to the men, and presented to each of them a silver medal, with gold centre and border. The medal was inscribed with the name of the recipient, the company, and “South Africa, 1901-2” [sic].

LONGRIDGE MEN FOR THE FRONT.
The four men selected from Longridge to join the third Active Service Company of the 1st Vol. Batt. Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, namely, Privates WHITTLE, SEED, BRETHERTON, and BRADSHAW, left Longridge yesterday morning to join the company at Fleetwood. The men have been visiting their friends during the week, and left by conveyance for Preston yesterday morning in the best of spirits. WHITTLE has been previously at the front.
