PORT ARLINGTON.
On Wednesday night Troopers LANCASHIRE an GARLICK, who recently arrived from the war in South Africa, were entertained at a smoke social at Miller’s Family Hotel. There were over 100 present including representatives from Drysdale and Queenscliff. Councillor Grey, president of the shire of Bellarine, occupied the chair and presented each soldier with a gold albert chain and locket, set with a diamond, together with a silver matchbox, suitably inscribed.
