Presentation made by Brother Roberts, on behalf of the Society of House and Ship Painters and Decorators, at the Douglas Hotel, South Shields.
SOCIETY OF HOUSE AND SHIP PAINTERS AND DECORATORS. – A most successful smoker was held at the Douglas Hotel, South Shields, under the auspices of the above society, a capital programme of vocal and instrumental music being rendered. During the evening Brother Roberts presented on behalf of the members of the society a splendid gold albert and appendage, suitably inscribed, to Brother G. HEWISON, who has been doing his duty as a reservist with his regiment in South Africa.
