Over 300 persons assembled in the public hall to welcome home Corporal W. JOHNSON, of the Bushmen’s Contingent. The president of the shire, Mr J. Gunn, presided, and presented Corporal JOHNSON, on behalf of the residents, with a massive gold albert chain and locket. When he left for the war Corporal JOHNSON was presented with a watch.
