WYCHEPROOF.
A public welcome home was tendered to Sergeant ESSEX and Trooper Frank McPHERSON at the Mechanics' hall on Saturday evening. The building was packed and the proceedings throughout were marked with the greatest enthusiasm. Each of the returned soldiers was presented with a gold medal suitably inscribed, Councillor Redgar making the presentation on behalf of the residents of the district. Speeches of a patriotic nature were delivered by prominent townsmen.

WELCOME AT WYCHEPROOF.
Wycheproof, 18th June.
A public welcome home has been given to Sergeant ESSEX and Trooper McPHERSON by the townspeople, and medals presented to each, suitably inscribed, as mementos of the occasion of their return from the war. A smoke night is to be given by the local branch of the A.N.A. to Member ESSEX, and a prestation made, Mr ESSEX having kept himself good on the books during his absence.

A welcome social was tendered to Trooper HALLIDAY at Nullawil on Friday night. There was a large attendance. The guest was presented with a gold medal.

WYCHEPROOF.
Trooper Robert HALLIDAY was welcomed at Nullawil by his friends last week at a concert and ball, the returned soldier being presented with a gold medal. On Friday last Trooper GARDNER was entertained at the Towaninnie Station. A banquet and ball was held in his honour, and a gold medal presented to him.
