p1b 15 Army officers sailed from Southampton by mail steamer Roslin Castle, Harlech Castle and Goorkha a few days before Christmas.
The Harlech Castle left Southampton Dec 22 with 8 officers, 303 men, 12 women and 17 children for Cape Town. Included were:
Liverpool – 80 men
1/KRR – 164 men
RAMC – 20 men
p5b Dateline Bulawayo, Jan 13. 3 Volunteer troops have been formed there.
