Town Guards

I am wondering if the Trooper E Hampton mentioned above is Ernest Harry Hampton, my great grand uncle. I have a short service (Cavalry of the Line) record for Ernest Hampton (14923) enlisting with the Imperial Yeomanry, later joining the Johannesburg Police. This particular Ernest Hampton's father was George Hampton, as my great x2 grandfathers name was George also. I believe that this is my ancestor. Family history supports Ernest serving with the Johannesburg Police. If in fact this is correct, it is extra special since my great x2 grandfather George was 1st cousin to Harry Hampton VC.
