David As you no doubt know, medals issued to 'natives' often do not survive or survive in a battered state. When they survive in a pristine state there may be reason to suspect that they were never issued to the intended recipient but were 'liberated' from military stores by a collector and, consequently, will be unrecorded on official files. Consequently, I doubt if one could determine the number of surviving medals. I hope that I am wrong to harbour these suspicions. Regards Brett
