Hello. My first, no second post today after realising that I had made an error in posting the first.

I am 73. Spent 40 years in the Army. Researching my family name out of Worcestershire around 1760. Before that I haven't a clue.

My searches led me to 9489 Sgt A Richardson 2nd Batallion Scots Guards. 1892 to 1902, I think.

Trying to find out if there would be any information on him after 1905? Also if wives accompanied their husbands during the 2nd Boer War?.

Why was he in Lincolnshire in 1899, was there a camp near ALFORD?

I foung his record of service running to 4 pages! Perhaps there is nothing else.
