I am interested in any suggestions anyone may have to links and sites that discuss teachers and schools during the Anglo Boer Wars.Schools include both schools established in the concentration camps as well as those in the local towns or farm schools. I have followed the letters of Maggie McInnis with great interest and would be very interested in other similar material.

Good Afternoon......

There is one good book:

A CANADIAN GIRL IN SOUTH AFRICA, by E. Maud Graham, Publisher William Briggs Toronto, 1st Edition, 1905

The story of a group of Canadian Teachers who went to South Africa to teach in the camps and else ware.......

This is from my library list and is a first edition but if I remember rightly it has been reprinted......
Just did a quick look and there are a number of reprint copies on ABE Books......

Thanks so much for your response, Mike. I have ordered the Canadian Girl and also the book by Ellen Ellis about the NZ teachers. They both sound very promising!
