Can anyone help me please?

I am working through this ASC roll. Page 1 of this roll identified the Company as No 38 but, for the next 75 pages, the company number is either illegible or not present. Not sure if this is the copy I am working with.

Does anyone have access to this roll to check please?

Hello David,
I see your problem, the digitised folio are not always as good as on might hope, sometimes faded ink or pencil is not clearly visible, I'd be very tempted to simply go to Kew and ask them nicely to present that particular volume to you, I actually suspect they would be a little reluctant to do so, given the condition of some volumes, but, in the past I always found William Spencer to be very helpful.
Notwithstanding, if you look at the pages you refer to, the signature does say "Commanding B Supply Company" moreover, on page 1 at the lower right of the page, a note, "38 or B Supply Co"
Regards Frank

That's a good idea Frank, thank you. I have only once requested the original volume of the rolls for a similar situation when the (then) microfile was illegible. Looking at the original is quite a different experience to the roll copies, the colours for one thing.

Best wishes
David

Indeed, you can touch history, looking at Vallentin's signature in the flesh was a most memorable experience, however, I think you will find the material in question here, is all one particular company.
