I have a Harry Evans b 1873 Bristol, known to serve in the 2nd ABW in SA. Was injured out here but recovered. Returned to Bristol so was counted in the 1901 Census. Returned to SA and married my Grand Grandmother - a boer; that would have been around 1905. His first wife in Bristol, had taken up with another man whilst he was out in SA involved in the ABW - a Mr Isaacs. They obviously divorced. They had one daughter, named Clara. If this is your family, I can complete your story.
