Dear fellow members, in a recent Danish auction I won, there were a QSA medal to a J. Bainbridge, no. 1576 Prince Alfreds Guards. I managed to find him in the medal roll and could thereby confirm that he, besides his Cape Colony Clasp also were entitled to the two loose 1901 & 1902 bars.

I list him here because He isn't listed elsewhere here on this forum. I also hope that maybe someone can tell me more about him. His c/o adress was at a Mrs. Lindall, 37 Salt meadows terrace in Gateshead.

I wonder how this medal ended up in Denmark?

Thomas,

Thank you for posting these pictures and what excellent pictures too.

The records on the PAGMI are sparse and I'm not sure there's anything here in the UK beyond the Medal Roll whwich you have already seen.

Very interesting to ponder how his medal ended up in Denmark.

Best wishes
David

Thanks a lot David.

One last question, are there somewhere on this forum where I can put it up for trade?
