Good Evening Everyone......
I have just received a large container of documents, post cards, watercolour painted cartoons and partial manuscripts from the BW to WW1 and time between the wars in SA with regards the above named soldier......
According to his attestation papers for service in WW1 he states previous service in:
British Columbia Garrison Artillery
2nd Manchester Volunteers
Signalers
Cyclists
Imperial Yeomanry (Among the documents is the draft for a book about the Imp Yeo.)
Prince Alfred's Field Artillery
He enlisted in CEF in March of 1916 and discharged as surplus to requirement in October of 1917.......
I understand from the family that he ended up as the Editor in Chief of the Vancouver Sun newspaper.......
Thanks in advance for any assistance.......
Mike
Oh yes I have found his IY info on FMP.......
