Is their a roll for Spion Kop casualties? I am particularly interested in the Imperial Light Infantry list.
Thanks Garry

Thanks Meurig,
Your blogs are very interesting lots of info.
The medal I am inquiring about to the forum belongs to a Capt T Colman Imperial Light infantry.According to John Stirlings book, and the write up in the Forum, he was one of three officers of the ILI wounded at Spion Kop. The Nominal roll does not mention him being wounded.Where would John Stirling and the Forum get their information from? The reason for the Question I am primarily a badge and button collector and my medal knowledge is limited.
Thanks Garry.

Hello Garry

The Register shows Cpt T Coleman (sic) wounded at Spion Kop, source is The TImes. He is one of the many names missed by the compilers of the Natal Field Force roll.

The ILI write up on this Forum is, I believe, a copy of Stirling. Nominal roll would not show a wound, it is not a casualty roll.

Do you have Coleman's medal or know it to exist?

Hi Meurig, I purchased two QSA"S recently Swellendam Railway Guard and Capt Colmans Relief of Ladysmith and Tugela Heights.I knew their was a SwellendamTown Guard, but I had never heard of the Railway Guard that was what took my interest, so I took the plunge on both.
