I have reached the Ws in the Brabant's Horse attestation papers and came across this document for Trooper Wiblin/Webline whose sentence of imprisonment with hard labour for being drunk and refusing to obey orders was commuted by 3 months because of his work during a plague outbreak around June 1901.

I haven't see one of these before.

Bubonic plague reached South Africa in 1901, with outbreaks in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.
