Nurse Webber belt sold on 16 Aug 2023 for R50,000 ZAR (£2,050 GBP). Total: R60,062 ZAR (£2,463 GBP).

Good morning Emties, although your entry was some years ago I hope you receive this.
The watch and medal that you have that were given to Maud Mary Pentney by the Natal Carbineers were stolen from the house of her granddaughter, Patricia Boshoff, nee Rowland, in Pretoria in about 2007, along with her Carbineer's belt. My wife is Mrs Boshoff's sister and I am writing on Mrs Boshoff's behalf.
You obviously didn't know you were buying stolen property but Mrs Boshoff, now aged 96 and living in Cape Town, would like to know from whom you bought the watch and medal and more about their present whereabouts.

Emties last visited this site back in July 2023.

It is very sad to hear of another stolen group. Two of the 22 (or 23?) belts are known to have met with this fate. Not a good statistic.
