Greetings, first post here.
My great grand father CEJ Miller (Natal Carbineers 802) and his brother JH Miller (Natal Carbineers 803) both served in the Boer War.
"Charlie" won a DCM on 3 Nov 1899 at Lancer's Nek assisting a wounded soldier, and was himself wounded during the process.
Whilst wounded, he met Sister EM Earley, whom he married. She was the recipient of one of the Nurses Belts mentioned here.
We have always wondered what happened to Aunt Ethel's belt and were amazed to read here that it was Auctioned in Dec 2002 in London.
I have included pics of both of their medals here.
Anyone who can assist with ANY info on either CEJ Miller or EM Early and especially the belt, please make comms.

many Thanks

Sable,

Many thanks for posting these images and information. An important set of medals relating to the defence.
