I am researching this man who was wounded at Bethlehem on 7 July 1900 and died of his wounds on 16 July 1900. I have found the notification of the wounding in the Times but cannot find the notification of his death. Has anyone come across that notification? Also, where is he likely to have been buried?

A brief glace at Watt, suggests he died of wounds at Bethlehem and is buried there with an original, but, unmarked memorial cross.
This appears to be the case as shown within the NAM's Register of Soldiers Effects, although, the date shown is the 15th of that month.

Many thanks for your reply. Please excuse my ignorance but what is "Watt"? I have seen the effects register and you can see why an Ancestry search shows he died at a place called "Chem", wherever that is!

I think it is important to bare in mind that transcription services are often done by overseas companies whose staff do not have English as a first language.
