Greetings all,
I am currently in the process of writing a biography of Queensland Boer War veteran Robert "Boomerang" Gordon of the QMI. Before this, Gordon had been briefly seconded to the Gordon Highlanders who were then serving in the Tirah campaign (1897) where he saw action. While serving with the QMI in South Africa he transferred to the Gordon Highlanders where he was wounded by a bullet to his right foot. Rather than return to his native Queensland, Gordon settled in Rhodesia where he was known simply as "The Major" and became a noted celebrity. Anyone with information they wish to exchange can contact me through this forum.
Thanks, Rod

Rod
About your man, Robert "Boomerang" Gordon, DSO, MiD x3, QMI, the OZ-Boer database has an extensive biography on him; including Boer War/WW1 service.
Regards
IL.

Thank you and I'm aware of this biography but I have way more information than the OZ-Boer war database, particularly his life in Bulawayo.
