Cam Simpson and Max Fahler have just published a new book on this one hour engagement which saw Smuts overrun the camp of the 17th Lancers.

The book contains an account of the engagement and is richly illustrated with maps and photographs. Very useful to researchers, the appendices contain biographies of both the burghers and Lancers engaged in the battle.

A very enjoyable and informative read and therefore highly recommended.
