The headstones photos shown in the book Knowing No Fear are they so called Type One and later issue Type Two, and Three...... I cannot say for certain but I think that they were manufactured by different masons.....

Another piece of the jigsaw - greatly appreciated.

I'm not quite sure where to post this, but it relates to Wakkerstroom. My counsin rembers that in the late 1950s an Induna took him and his father to a gravesite on their newly purchased farm with allegedly 12 British soldiers (maybe Canadian or other). There were no headstones, but just a square heap of stones. It is quite high up on a very steep hill and only accessible on foot or horseback. He has not been back there in years and presume that the stones are still in place. Quite peculiar that they were never reinterred to the main cemetery.
